So far, a combo of twangy guitar, midi doubled with rhodes elec piano, sort of does the trick. Don't need perfection, not trying to impress Nashville, just doing midi demos of my incredible musical creations. There's lots of discussions on the net about how difficult it is to sample ped/stee/gui, but somehow Roland did a decent job.

My projects involve transfering backing tracks done on the Roland (because I'm so used to it) to Logic, because it's easier to record, deal with vocals.īut it means mapping the sounds.all good except for that dang Ped/St/Gui. If I could somehow grab that sound as a soundfont, or even buy it from Roland or something, and transfer it to my mac, then happiness will prevail. It's really more of a Hawaiian slide guitar, but works for me. In the meantime, I like the sound I have on my X6 Fantom, GM sound 063. I bought a set of CountryWestern sounds on ebay.good stuff, works, but has dobro, harmonica, some twang guitars, etc, but no ped/steel/gui. I can't find one to buy, borrow, or steal on the internet. What I'm trying to do is get a Pedal Steel Guitar soundfont sf2 to my MacBookPro, then to be imported to the Logic EXs24 sampler instrument. It was originally developed by Microsoft and. Maybe I missed the whole point after all -D A file with the WAV file extension is a Waveform audio file format and is a container that stores data in segments. That way you preserve the original character and playability of the sound, and still have the MIDI track to play around / correct small mistakes and then, and then converting that on to an Audio track at will.

Wouldn't it be easier to record the passages in MIDI using the G's VST It plays the notes you want at various velocities and over the key range that you want although I am not sure if it puts it together for you for use in Logic or whether that final process needs to be completed by you.
#How to transfer sf2 files into wav files software
I think there is software out there that will do some of this tedious work for you. In both cases you would then need to convert it into the format you want and of course put it all together to make the samples playable. Alternatively, you can record your playing of various notes and velocities onto your laptop. They would then be saved in WAV or AIFF format which you can then copy to your computer.
#How to transfer sf2 files into wav files Patch
You can play some notes in that patch at various velocities and sample it and save the sampes. HowardS wrote:There is no easy "export all multisamples at all velocities" button.
